I have a Doberman with a sensitive stomach and impeccable aim for my white area rug. As much fun as endlessly spot cleaning the rug is, it was time for a deeper clean. I had read good reviews about this and decided that the time was right. I’m really pleased with how easy it was to assemble and how simple it is to use. Hold the trigger down to spray the water and cleaning solution and release it to suck the water up. So simple and effective. Note: if you’re trying to clean a specific spot you should still spot clean it before using this, but this just gives everything nice overall clean.

Bought this because of other positive reviews and am not disappointed! Yes, you do have to full the water reservoir multiple times but that works for me since 90% of home is hardwood floors so I only need it for a few area rugs (which one is shag carpet and cleans it wonderfully) and downstairs carpeted living room. Does a fantastic job and is easy to operate and take apart to clean!

My dog got sick and well it ended up on my rug. So I bought this since I only have small areas of carpet. It was also cheaper then having a company wash an area rug. I tried this without pre treating the area. I had to go over the spot a few times, which I figured I would need to anyways. It worked great! Its super light and small, but doesnt stop its power. It cleaned my rug almost back to new. I would recommend this to anyone who has small areas of carpet to clean. I'm sure it could do a big area but it'll take longer and you'll need go refill clean water and empty the dirty water several times.

does it come with the carpet shampoo?

It comes with a 64oz bottle. Not a small sample. It is listed stating a 64oz bottle. So yes it comes with cleaner.

what is the total weight and motor capacity?

The thing weighs about 12 pounds. I don’t know what you mean by motor capacity, but if you go over the same area too many times it’ll pull the carpet fibers up. My office was a mess. I had Stanley steamer come in a year or so ago and they did an okay job. This thing was 99 bucks and in 20 minutes did a fantastic job. I have white carpets that were gray and now their white again.

does it pick up pet urine?

I shampooed the area of pet urine but found after drying, I could still detect an odor. I then used an oxy product made specifically for pet urine. After the solution dried, I then redid the carpet with the shampooer and it smells clean and fresh.

Is the carpet supposed to be completely clean when the water is completely clear?

If you are sucking up clear water, yes the area you are cleaning should be clean. However I let mine dry, pretreated it again and went back over it to make sure and the penetrate deeper. It seemed to work. My carpet had an older set in pet stain that I didn’t find right away.
